Involvement Opportunities
 
As a member of the VPPPA, you can use your talents to help shape the Region X agenda and set priorities for the future. We invite you to volunteer and serve on a committee with influences on the VPP and the VPPPA.
 
The following are the available committees and the Chairperson of each committee:
 
Conference Planning Committee (Bonnie Anderson) requires travel minimum of 4 times a year
Communication Committee (Jack Griffith)*
Nominating Committee (Jeff Carlson)*
Awards Committee (Ella Iott)
Outreach Committee {exhibitors} (Jim Chonzena)
Mentoring Committee (Bonnie Anderson)
Bylaws committee (Chris Thursby)*
Membership Committee (Michelle Steeler)
Finance Committee {Sponsorships} (Terry Scheubert)
Legs & Regs Committee (Chris Adolfson)
*Chairmanship of Nominating Committee will rotate based on election rotation
 
VPPPA committee members are appointed at the sole discretion of the Region X Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
Committee Requirements:
·         Must have evidence of support of management for participation on Region X Committees (email or letter stating support)
  • Be employed at a VPPPA member site in good standing, as defined by the Region X VPPPA Bylaws.
  • Attend 75 % of scheduled conference calls and/or face to face meetings (conference planning committee), as participation is key to being on a VPPPA committee.
  • Contact your VPPPA committee liaison prior to the scheduled meeting if you are unable to participate.
     
Individuals interested in volunteering to serve on a regional committee may complete the form located on the Region X VPPPA website in Word format. Please e-mail the completed form and supporting documentation to Bonnie.Anderson@icp.doe.gov.
